weird day,today
started off this morning, with butterflies cluttering in my gut..
all sorts of "probable questions" started playing in my head..
and all the "what if i stuttered?" "what if i can't answer?" and all other jing bangs from its kind..
after waiting from 8.30 am to 11.50 am *woah! that long??!*
our turn came along..
alhamdulillah, all 5 of us are from the same class..
Sufadhli, Nabiha, Huda, Nadhirah & I..
and all of us wanted to take different courses, a variety.. :D
i wasn't paying full attention to how others were being interviewed..
but here's roughly how Br. Zainul, the deputy dean of Kuliyyah Allied Health Scinces interviewed me..
him : ok, proceed to the last person..
me : i'm nadiah binti rashidi.. from kuala rompin, pahang..
him : ok, tell me what's special in kuala rompin..
me : udang galah..
him : can you differentiate the rared & the wild udang galah?
me : well, one is bred in nets, and the other is caught in rivers, one by one..
him : no, what i mean is, if it's served in a plate, can you tell me if it is a rared or a wild one?
me : i'm afraid i don't know.. but i could tell the difference in its taste..
him : i don't think i would want to spend RM40 just to taste whether it's rared or wild.. *laughed*
me : *laughed along* true2..
him : ok, tell me about your choices..
me : my first choice would be optometry.. well, for the past few months, i've been quite active in photography.. *i don't quite remember everything i said* but in order to take a good picture, a good lens is needed, great lighting & focus.. and this all somehow relates to how the eyes work.. but all these could only be achieved with great eyesight..
him : true.. how do you think you did in your physics? you do know that your physics needs to be strong in order for you to take up optometry, right?
me : i did okay in my Physics 1, but i did better in my Physics 2..
him : *while looking through my results* yes, i have to admit.. you have a very strong foundation in physics..
me : :) alhamdulillah..
him : what if, you can't get optometry? what would you do?
me : i'll try to find someone and swap courses with him/her..
him : will you advertise it on facebook?
me : yes..
him : how do you find facebook?
me : at some times, boring..
him : then why are you still holding on to your facebook account?
me : coz it's the easiest way to communicate with my family around the country and the world..
him : if that's your answer, i'll accept it then.. :)
alhamdulillah.. the interview went well.. well i think i did well.. huhu..
then, Huda and went to UKC and bought mango ice-blended.. then i bought lunch..
and Huda stayed at my room while waiting for me to eat n finish my final touch up before submitting the EAP final paper..
"yeay! siap!" then i put my socks on.. grabbed the doorknob.. and guess what...
I CANT OPEN THE DOOR!!!!!! we were trapped inside!
it was like 20 minutes before the time allocated for the submission ends!
so i decided to climb out the window, enter again through the utility room..
i tried to open it from outside.. but failed..
so, Huda also climbed out the window.. we rushed to the mahallah office and reported the incident..
rushed to our lecturer's office and submit our research papers.. :O *fuhh! another task, DONE!*
went back to the mahallah, just to find out that the technicians will be informed AFTER LUNCH HOURS..
great! my eyes could barely open.. so i decided to just climb back into my room..
and just fell asleep..
2.45 pm.. the technician finally came..! he had to break the doorknob..
then he fixed a new one..
and fixed that thing on top of the door that prevents it from slamming..
which took him about 30 minutes..
and we got new set of keys!! :D
and the technician was cute too.. :P
haha.. what a day.. well, it hasn't ended yet..
but i hope it won't get any worse..
funny.. we always have great times, when our time here is almost up..
